Abstract
This thesis presents the work on two medicinal plants of Pakistan origin. The part A describes the studies on the terpeniodal constituents of the latex and stem bark of Euphorbia tirucalli which have led to the isolation and characterization of six new compounds. In addition, six triterpenoids have also been reported for the first time from this plant.
