Abstract
This thesis comprises two parts. Part-I:Synthesis of Azaterpenoids and their biological evaluation. Part-II:Studies on the chemical constituents of Cucumis prophetarum. The part A describes the synthesis of Betulin N-oxide from betulin (25-29), ursolic-N-oxide from ursolic acid (30-34), and an azasteroid from a very common sterol of plant, namely, B-sistosterol (35-39).
