Abstract

The western scholars started translation of the second book under the name of sacred books of the east in 1894 B.D. This helped the research scholars to lay their hand on religious texts from their original sources. Muslim world was forced to study these texts from English translation. The Arabic translation of these books particularly these of China appeared only after a century has passed over the English translation. In order to pave the way for other research scholars, I took upon myself to translate an important book of Confucianism i.e. Book of great cognition (DAXUE) and compared with the teaching of Islam Volumes of odes (Shi Jing) Volumes of history(Sha Jing) Volumes of law (Li Jing) Volumes of Modification (Yi Jing) Spring & Autumn (Chong Qui) The collection of sacred books consists of verses, texts, Articles law, history, prophecies right from time immemorial to the sixth century B.C in the history of China. Book of great cognition (DAXUE) Book of mediation (Z Hong Yong) Book of Dialogues (Lun Yu) Book of Manshis (MENCZI) The collection provides the basic structure on which Confucianism stands I have selected the first book of this collections because it stirred worlds and great influence on Chinese society in spite of its being small in volume
