Abstract
Magnetic properties in Fe-28Cr-150Co based alloys were enhanced by addition of ferromagnetic phase forming elements like Mo,Ti, Al, V,Si and by optimizing the hear treatment conditions. The isotropic Fe-28Cr-15Co-3. Mo-1.8 Ti magnets have produced the highest coercivity , Hc =792Oe(63kA/m), which is superior to the reported coercivities in isotropic magnets of Fe-Cr-Co system containing 15-25wt%Co. The anisotropic Fe-28-Cr-15Co-33Mo-1.8Ti magnets have produced maximum magnetic properties as coercive force of 970Oe (77.2 kA/m), remanence of 11.2kG(1.12T) and energy product of 601 MG.Oe(48.6kJ/m3). The anisotropic Fe.28Cr-15Co-33.5Mo-1.8Ti magnets have potential to replace Co-Steel, Vicalloy, Cunico, Ferrites and Alnico 7 magnets in term of cheaper material composition, better corrosion resistance, good ductility, butter temperature stability and better magnetic properties The process and material used to produce Fe-28-Cr-15Co based magnets are easy and economical, which can be sued for the mss production of. Fe-CR-Co magnets with high energy products Small and complex shape magnets can be made with Fe-28Cr-15-Co alloys, which are difficult to fabricate with ceramic, and powder metallurgy produced magnets
