Abstract

One Hundred And Six Halyine Species Are Presently Keyed. Thirty Eight Species Belonging To 30 Genera Of This Tribe Of The Subfamily Pentatominae Of Pentatomidae Including One New Genus And Nine New Species From Various Localities Of Indo – Pakistan Subcontinent, Iraq, Turkey And China Are Described In Detail With Special Reference To Metathoracic Scent Apparatus Complex, Male And Female Genitalia. One Genus Agaeus Dallas Was Not Included By Kirkaldy (1909) In Halyini And Rider, 2001 In His Catalogue Did Neither Include Agaeus Nor Phircodus In Halyini. These Two Genara Are Now Placed Under Halyini Presently On The Basis Of Presence Of Different Halyini Characters. Halys Dentatus (F.) And H. Serrigera (Westwood) Were Synonymized By Ghauri (1988) But Presently Their Status Are Considered Independent, As Fabricius Name Cimex Denatatus (1775) Was Preoccupied By Cimex Dentatus De Geer (1773) So, Because Of The Unavailability, Presently H. Dentatus Is Described As H. Fabricii Nomen Novum. Chopra’s H. Serricollis (Westwood). These Are Presently Transferred To Neohalys Ahmad And Parveen And The Status Of Neohalys As A Genus Has Been Confirmed. Phricodus Pakistanensis Hamid Synonymized With P. Bessaci By Gollner – Scheilding (1999) Are Placed Separately As Two Different Species, Erthesina Fullo Thunberg Misidentified By Abbasi (1986) From Pakistan Is Described As A New Species E. Pakistanensis. Genus Lodosocoris Ahmad And Afzal Based On Female, Has Been Redescribed Along With Male Including Male Genitalia And Gland Apparatus. All The Above Taxa Including New Ones Are Compared With Their Most Closely Related Allies And Keys To Genera And Species Are Formulated On The Basis Of Reliable Distinctive Character, Which Help In The Readily Identification Of The Above Taxa. Characters Of Taxonomic Importance Are Also Briefly Described To Build Understanding Of These Characters. Illustrations Of H. Serrigera And H. Fabricii Along With Their Descriptions Are Given To Make Their Concept Clear. Taxonomic Notes Are Given Wherever Necessary To Make Their Concept Clear. Taxonomic Notes Are Given Wherever Necessary To Make The Position Clear Of Different Species. The Status Of Halyini As A Tribe Has Been Established And Described Briefly. The Cladistic Analyses Of The Above Taxa Are Also Presented With The Help Of Cladogram On The Principle Of Parsimony.
