Abstract
Forty seven species belonging to 12 genera of 2 tribes of the subfamily Alydinae Amyot and Serville of Alydidae from the Indo-Pakistani areas including one tribe with detailed new description, one genus with detailed new description and fifteen new species with one genus and 6 species newly recorded from various localities of Indo-Pakistan subcontinent are described in detail wit special reference to their metathoracic scent auricles and male and female genitalia. The new taxa are compared with their closest allies and keys to all the world genera and their tribes, and to all the Indo-Pakistani species are formulated on the basis of the above more reliable characters to help readily identify the above taxa. Characters of taxonomic importance are also briefly described to help build background for the understanding of these characters for their use in cladistic analysis of the world genera.

Alimentary organs, and salivary apparatus of seven common representatives from various localities of Pakistan are described in detail. Biology, egg and immature characters of two species i.e. of Riptortus linearis (F.) and Mriperus gilgitensis sp. n. are studied but presently detailed description of one species is given (because of R. linearis (F.) has already been given by Shadab 1972 with illustrations) and the polarity of some of the above characters are analyzed on the basis of out-group comparison with those of Coredoidea and Trivhophora at large in order to construct a cladogram of the included taxa.
