Abstract
The Fauna of British India Rhynchota by Distant (1902) included only five species of Corizus Fallen of the subfamily Rhopalinae Amyot and Serville (1843) besides Serinethinae Stål (1873) which included only six species of the genus Leplocoris Hahn (1831) (described under Serinetha). In the appendix of this fauna Distant (1918) added six species of Corizus and two of this genus under Therapha in addition to two of Leplocoris (again under Sernetha Amyot acid Serville) besides 2 species of Agraphopus Stål, he recorded from the areas of British India. Presently eleven genera i.e. Agraphopus Stål and Tuberculoceraea Ahmad and Kamaluddin stat. nov. of the tribe Chorosomini Douglas and Scott, Slictopleurus Stål of Maccevethini Chopra and Bmchycaren1ls Fieber, Corizus Fallen, Liorhyssus Stål, Punjentorhopahus new genus, Rhopalus Schilling., Shadabocoris new genus and Ziaratcoris new genus of Rhopalini Al11yot and Serville of the subfamily P hopalinae Amyot and Serville besides Leplocoris Hahn of the subfamily Serinethinae Stål of Rhopalidae Amyot and Serville comprising forty four (44) species from Indo-Pakistan subcontinent including Sixteen (16) new species from Pakistan, Azad Kashmir and Bangladesh (former East Pakistan) are keyed, described in detail (where available) with special reference to their metathoracic scent complex, male and female genitalia Earlier, Distant (1902 and 1918) recorded only two species from former east Pakistan (Bangladesh) and none from the present areas of Pakistan Cladistic analysis of all the above species IS presented to confirm the taxonomic status of the present new taxa end also to establish phylogenetic relationships of all forty four species from Indo-Pakistan subcontinent

Detailed external morphology of a newly described species Corizus pakistanensis from Shahdra in Punjab, Ziarat in Baluchistan, Chickar and Muzaffarabad in Kashmir and Gilgit, Tour, Phandar, Hunza, Manor, Kargah and Kachoora lake in Northern Areas is carried out with illustrations and complete descriptions to understand characters of taxonomic importance and to establish apomorphies by comparing these with their outgroups in the superfamily Coreoidea at large. Cladistic analysis is also presented of all the eleven genera presently included and discussed in the light of those of Chopra (1967), GÖllner-Scheiding (1978) and Schaefer and Chopra (1982). A c1adogram depicting generic relationships and five others for the species of Agraphopus, Corizus, Liorhyssus, Rhopalus in the subfamily Rhopalinae and for Leplocoris of Serinethinae are also constructed on the principle of parsimony showing various sister groups and outgroups of various taxa presently included. It could well be as proposed by Schaefer and Chopra (1982) that Serinethinae is paraphyletic but my presently proposed generic cladogram supports Chopra (1967) in general and partly Schaefer and Chopra (1982) that Serinethinae is a more advanced cl8.de than more primitive Rhopalinae, the latter probably branched )11 from the base with autapoll1orphics of more complicated aereo1us (quadrangular) and with small size, which allowed them wide range of dispersal to acquire pest status on many crops (Ahmad 1978, 1980; Schaefer 1978) in different parts of the world.
