Abstract
The purpose of this investigation was to determine the extent and the mechanism of salt tolerance of three mangrove species viz. Avicennia marina, Rhizophora mucronata and ceriops tagal. Propagules of A. marina and C. tagal were collected form Indus delta and R. mucronata form Miani Hor estuary, Pakistan. They were grown separately, in plastic post containing sand sol irrigated with seawater.
